Introducing Victoria – A vegan WBFF competitor

Our latest Brand Ambassador – Victoria Lissack is a Fitness Competitor training for WBFF Worlds in Toronto. She recently became a vegan, and I have chosen to repost some of her posts as it is a very interesting subject. I am not a competitor myself, however I create bikinis and Themewear via my other company SambaCouture.com – and I hear a lot about different diets. I have tried many times to go Vegan myself so I am sharing some posts from her journey here – as an inspiration.

So at the risk of boring/alienating some of you, I’ve got to say: going vegan at the start of this year was one of the best decisions I have ever made🌱🌱🌱 Yes, it’s challenging (it’s different, so have to make an effort rather than just sticking to your usual habits and patterns of behavior). Yes, you have to take the time to educate yourself (on so many levels: nutrition, supplementation, food options, how to cook…and if you are going all-out like I am and treating it as a lifestyle choice and not just a diet, then also what goes into the products you use, the clothes you wear…everything). Yes, it is sometimes limiting (restaurant menus are tricky….and so is shopping…and being somebody’s guest). Yes, most people do look at you like you’re a nutter when they find out (especially those people who remember when you used to eat meat with every meal, and often other members of the fitness community) and most assume you’re boring. Everyone will ask where you get your protein from. You can then multiply all those factors by 100 when you are also on CONTEST PREP 😜 But regardless, it has made me feel happier, more connected with the world around me and a lot cleaner and healthier 💚 Now I am determined to show you guys that vegan contest prep IS possible, even for a metabolically challenged girl like me 😆 Big thanks to @n8fitness for working with me on this.
