Earth Day 2021 – There is no place like home

Observed annually in more than 193 countries; Earth day is held to demonstrate and promote environmental awareness.

COVID-19 has given a chance to all the people in the world to slow down and think about the earth. People have been forced by nature to realise the importance of the environment, going to the parks, walking in nature, looking at the clouds, listening to the birds outside… It has enabled us to realise one more time that we are not the owners of the earth, but a part of it. So take a break from what you are used to doing in your daily life and go out to explore the nature.

Let’s celebrate our love for this planet by making sustainable choices

The fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters on this planet. To help reduce waste and implement sustainable practices we need to put an end to the “Throwaway Culture”.

What initiatives are we taking?Apart from our sustainable practises, regenerated fabrics and small productions, Posto9 have a preloved resale program where you can resell your unwanted Posto9 items. We also have some exciting news to be announced soon, about our recycling program.

Ten simple things you can do to help protect the Earth everyday

  • Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Cut down on what you throw away. …
  • Volunteer. Volunteer for cleanups in your community. …
  • Educate. …
  • Change you consumption habits.
  • Go vegan or vegetarian
  • Conserve water. …
  • Choose sustainable fashion. …
  • Shop wisely. …

Posto9 are committed to using fabrics that are recycled or sustainably sourced.

To ensure quality and longevity – designing special pieces built to last, produced by individuals, not factories. It’s about timeless pieces that can be worn year after year. To us, that’s what sustainability is about, quality clothing that will be enjoyed for a long time…

Our main fabric VITA, contains the fibre ECONYL® regenerated nylon, made out of nylon waste.

ECONYL® regenerated nylon is a product that can help you close the loop. Made from waste, it’s infinitely recyclable and can unleash infinite possibilities for makers, creators and consumers.
