What good shall I do today?
This is what I asked myself as I embarked on the journey to meet the samaritans at Task Brasil.
Meeting the disadvantaged kids this organisation provides a lifeline for puts it all in a different perspective.
These children suffer from a terrifying reality: domestic violence, being orphaned or abandoned. Task Brasil provides these young people with the essential tools to have better prospects through education and well-being.
During our visit we did workshops with the kids. They cut the wish ribbons of Fita do Bonfim, that we attach to all our garments. We asked them what wishes they had for the future. Task Brasil gives them the tools to see that there is an alternative to living a life of crime on the street, a better future.
We donate 5% of all our net profit each month to this organisation. Every month. We are a small company, but every donation makes a difference for these kids.
The Fita do Bonfim ribbon represents this donation. Read more about the Fita do Bonfim here
Videos and photos from this visit will be coming soon.
