Ethical Fashion Production

Ethical fashion production is the foundation of our business.

Sharing our passion for responsibly made products and a dissatisfaction with cheap, disposable mass-made products are the pillars. We believe in fair wages, and we have full control over our production in Brazil. Bypassing the large factories, our products are made by a collective of self-employed seamstresses. We also believe in making a product that is built to last. Quality over quantity!

.“Buy less. Choose well. Make it last. Quality, not quantity. Everybody’s buying far too many clothes.” —Vivienne Westwood

As consumers, we have become increasingly conscious about our purchases, channeling the power of our vocalized objections to make a positive difference for the people involved in the making of our clothes and goods.

The journey of your legging – from fabric to finished product available in our store

It all starts in Miguel’s wholesale fabric shop, in the centre of Rio de Janeiro. He provides all of our top notch lycra, and keeps us updated about the latest new fabrics coming out of the mills. Once we have selected the fabrics for the new collection, Adriana comes to the shop and picks up the lycra. Then it is off to Campo Grande, in the north of Rio, where it ends up on her cutting table in her studio. After that both Adriana and Fernanda get busy and start sewing the leggings together.

Once they are finished, Georgina comes in and does the quality check, before she dispatches them to our London warehouse.

This process can take up to one month
